Welcome Back, GCSC Families – Important Information for the New School Year

Dear GCSC Families,

I hope you and your family have enjoyed a relaxing and memorable summer. On behalf of the Greencastle Community School Corporation, I am excited to welcome you to a new school year!

As we begin another year of learning and growth, our GCSC team has been working throughout the summer to prepare our buildings, classrooms, programs, and services to ensure a successful start for every student.

Our school offices are now open, and returning families should complete their annual registration through Skyward as soon as possible. Accurate and up-to-date registration information is essential for student schedules, transportation, communication, and emergency contacts. If you need assistance with registration, please contact your child's school office.

We also want to extend a warm welcome to families who are new to GCSC. We are honored that you have chosen Greencastle Community Schools and look forward to partnering with you throughout your child's educational journey.

We are especially excited to continue expanding opportunities that help students connect classroom learning to future careers and life beyond high school. Through hands-on experiences with student-run businesses such as the Tiger Cub Collective and The Cub Café, internship opportunities, Career and Technical Education pathways, and expanded dual-credit coursework—including the opportunity to earn up to 30 transferable college credit hours—students can explore their interests while building valuable real-world skills.

We are also proud to continue growing programs that provide meaningful opportunities for students, including our Agriculture/FFA programs, preschool offerings, and other career-connected learning experiences.

For transportation-related questions, please contact our Transportation Department at (765) 653-6840. Families are encouraged to review bus information carefully and allow extra travel time during the first week of school as routes and traffic patterns adjust.
