What is Earth Space Science?
Earth Space Science is a broad scope coarse that introduces students to the fundamental driving forces that have formed/shaped our Earth, Solar System, Galaxy, and Universe. I say broad, because when broken down, there are many many scientific disciplines whose focus will be briefly discussed in this course. Including, but not limited to: Cosmology, Astronomy, Heliophysics, Geology (in many different forms), Mineralogy,  Hydrology, Oceanography, Soil Conservation, Glaciology, Meteorology, General Physics, and General Chemistry. Needless to say, there's a lot to learn!

There's A Lot to Learn!
And we only have a year to do it. Many professional scientists make lifelong academic careers over topics on which we will only be able to discuss for a day (or less!). Many students will be challenged in this course not only because science tends to be inherently difficult, but also because of the amount of content we plan to cover. Students are encouraged to explore the Useful Websites tab for helpful and/or supplemental resources.

Students Will Use Canvas
Canvas is the learning management software through which students can access the majority of all of the content, notes, resources, assignments, and some assessments, covered in class. In addition, this Canvas provides students additional academic features that allows them to discuss materials through forums, submit assignments, and even communicate with the teacher. See the Canvas links below:
